it's a different measurement system, it does make sense, think about it like an item squish, where Fahrenheit has these stupid large numbers and Celsius is much more simple (squished numbers).

You think in terms of water. There's no real reason (other than for science) to base temperature measurements on water.

You also have a very narrow range of temperatures that humans can survive in and/or find comfortable. It would make sense to you to think "It's 40 degrees right now. Fucking hot." For me, 100 degrees seems the more logical choice for the "Fucking hot" number.

Clearly, But i do not find any reason why it HAVE to be 100 degrees to be hot. Why can 40 not just be hot? why need to outdo the other scale with like 150% In genereld i think it does not make sence to have a Large scale, saying it is 20 outside is a decend weather no reason to say 70 :P

But that is just it. item squish is the perfect metafor. Why do we need 3Milion health when 30k is easyer to "handle" some times Simpler is just better

That's probably because you're used to celcius. I grew up with fahrenheit so I learned those numbers through immersion. 70 was the perfect temperature, 50 was chilly, and 100 was hot. When I learned celcius it seemed weird to me and I didn't see the point in using it. Though I am using it now because everyone in the computer world does, but that's besides the point.

Regarding the debate if Celsius or Fahrenheit is the most logical one I would throw in Kelvin. 0 Kelvin is the absolute freezing points, meaning the coldest anything can be(atoms stop move). From there on it only gets hotter. Makes a lot of sense doesnt it?

Don't be daft. It's very uncommon for Celsius to be used in the US outside of science classes. Unless these two were born outside the US, they understood the OP was talking about Fahrenheit. Regardless, if it was below 32 degrees F, then it was clearly below 0 C, so they were wrong either way.

Actually, I know a fair few computer geeks (who are into heavily modding their cases and such) who use Celsius, since most water coolers and temperature monitors use C°. They've just gotten so used to discussing things in Celsius that they just use it commonly now lol. Yeah, it does cause a lot of problems outside of their little group, but it works for them.
