    Help with buying gaming laptop

    Hello everyone,
I guess I should start off by saying I'm not very tech savvy. My old laptop was a random Sony laptop that broke on me a few weeks back. So as you would guess I'm not very good at choosing which laptop may suite my needs best. The only game I play is World of Warcraft, and I'm looking for a laptop that is up to 15.6 inches that can run it at very high settings without a hassle. I am also a student and need something that will last me a long time and can do video editing, general Microsoft office, web surfing, and video watching. I could care less about the weight of the laptop I'm a big fat guy and can lug a good weight. Since I'm not very knowledgeable in computers I was looking at things from Alienware, Asus, and Msi. My pricing is anything under 3,000 dollars. Please help me!!

Yes basically stay away from anything pre-built unless it's a custom build from a place like NCIX...The mark up you pay for places like Alienware is f'ing insane!!!
To give you a bit of a idea on how bad it is i built a computer from Alienware online and it was $4300 i then went to NCIX buying the parts separate and i built a computer just as powerful for $2280. For the price Alienware wanted to charge me i could of put in triple SLI Titans !!! Alienware is nothing but a scam...Huge markup and you pay out the ass for sub-par warranty and support.

Guys.. This is a thread about laptops. Not desktops. Alienware laptops aren't as bad of an idea as they are on the desktop platform.

Either way, moved to the appropriate sub-forum.
