    Upgrade Help

    Hello everyone!

I bought my rig in Feb 2011 so I know there is room for upgrades, likely on video card and RAM. I copied the below specs from my invoice, please let me know if you need additional details.

CPU - Intel Core i7 950 Quad Core Processor 3.06GHz
    Motherboard - ASUS Sabertooth X58 LGA1366 DDR3 CrossFireX
    Memory - G.SKILL 6GB DDR3 1600 CL 3x2GB
    Storage - Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA3 7200RPM
Video Card - Gigabye GeForce GTX 460 SE 1GB
Case - CoolerMaster Haf 932 Full Tower
    Power Supply - CoolerMaster GX 750W 80+
OS - Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium

    Budget - $400
    Country - Canada

I'm looking to run WoW/COD/D3 and future games at 60+ fps on high/max settings on high resolutions. I only use my computer for gaming/surfing.

I don't know very much about computer hardware, I'm mostly concerned about compatibility.

I'll check back often for updates and provide info as necessary.

    Thanks everyone!

I don't think so...it wasn't included on the invoice. The case is huge and there's a ton of room inside. It's even really cold when I put my hand over the openings!

Is there a way I can tell without opening my case?

Just opened 'er up and it's roomier than I remembered. There doesn't appear to be a dedicated cooler but the case has an extra fan and thats not even plugged in.

Even the i7-950 is going to struggle a little at 3.6ghz. unfortunately your budget doesn't really allow getting both a new CPU/Board -and- gpu. However I think the CPu/Board may be a better option for you at this stage.

I can actually invest $1000 but I figured only minor upgrades were needed.
