    $600 new build.

    Budget- $600
    Resolution- 1920x1080 desired
Games / Settings Desired- battlefield 4 on highest setting possible with budget
Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc)- none
    Country- USA
Parts that can be reused- none, building from scratch, first time too
Do you need an OS?- no
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)?- no

I've looked and am completely lost on what to start with. Someone stated an amd fx-8350 or fx-6300 series but I also see a lot about Intel. Not sure what will have the best bang for my money and dare I say last longer with new games.

Thank you for your time and help.

Thanks for the speedy reply and nice spec. I see lot of talk of quad core or more processors, do you think it would be better to extend my budget for one?

The only thing I see worth getting over the above would be this:

An aftermarket CPU cooler would nice but can be left out for now.

Enermax ETS-T40-TB is cheap and decent enough performance.
