    Contemplating upgrade, could use advice

    My current set up is

    i52500k @4.2ghz
    gigabyte z68 mATX
    corsair h60
    corsair vengeance 8gb
    60gb crucial m4 for OS
    1tb spinpoint 7200rpm
    radeon 5830
    CM 600watt psu
    in a NZXT phantom case

My video card is on its way out, so an upgrade there is needed. Just wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade my cpu/mobo. Is the upgrade from sandybridge and Z68 to haswell/z87 worth it? The money isn't really an issue, just wondering if it's worth the trouble.

Only thing I'd change is a new GPU and maybe a bigger SSD. Wait for Broadwell to upgrade the CPU/MB.

just go with a new gpu like a gtx 780 or a r290(x) ( as soon as the non reference coolers are released) and wait for broadwell.

Agree with Flens & Notarget in waiting for broadwell, anything else isn't worth it in the CPU/MB department.
    8700K (5GHz) - Z370 M5 - Mugen 5 - 16GB Tridentz 3200MHz - GTX 1070Ti Strix - NZXT S340E - Dell 24' 1440p (165Hz)

Thanks guys, thats what I was hoping to hear. Probably go with a 280x, i play at 1080p and i think a 780 or 290x may be overkill lol
