"Marsh of the Golems" An Expansion about the Gnomes and their LORE

Just becuse I think that the gnomes are the most underrated race of the game, I think that they deserver more Lore and love

    So

"World of Warcraft : Marsh of the Golems"

    Story:
After Siege of Ogrimmar and during the events of WOD, the gnomes taken a lot of the crazy Goblin Technology and manipulated Titan technology from Ogrimmar and started to make some experiments

They created an army of Golems that help them to do trivial jobs. But everything goes wrong, the central matrix that control the golems goes crazy and using its memory archives when the Titans created life, opens a portal to "The Factory" , a world where the Titans build they creations like the robotic golems, the earthen and the stone mogus.

This world is an automated world, with a lot of bio machines that become crazy after the Titan left this world for some unknow reason

Our mission is to go to this world and save the fabric of the universe

    The world

Is going to looks something like that (mirrodin world from the Magic series):

    A new class

    Tinkeeeeeerrr!!!!

I think that this would be cool, I mean , we have an "other world expansion" (BC) "Ice and nordic expansion"(WoLK) "Post apocalyptic expansion"(Cata), "Chinese expansion" (MoP) and "Back to the past expansion" (WoD)

This will be like "Futuristic Expansion" without relaying in time travels

    What do you think?

It's cool, but I don't think a gnome expansion would be very popular. I certainly wouldn't like it :P as much as an expansion focused on a planetary theme or a different race, literally any other race but gnomes

any thing that involves Gnomes being awesome gets my approval!

when blizzard said they will try to figure out a way to give gnomes more lore they didnt mean gnomes would get their own expansion.

gnomes are one of the least popular races, they might get some more spotlight soon but they will never be THE spotlight

So you're prepared to wait, then.

A Gnome expansion would only really work if they stepped up from a comic relief race and actually became serious. That isn't likely to change. I could see them as being the primary support race alongside Goblins for the Horde, where they're essentially competing against each other. Essentially every zone would have an undertone of rivalry between the two while not outright dominating the storylines.

But a full on Gnome expansion as they are now? pls no.

Right, do you understand what a marsh is? Do you know what a factory is? Do you see any connection between the two? Do you think the OP may be incorrectly spelling march?

Do you really think blizzard will base another expansion on a joke race and invest the time to make up proper lore and scenery for it after the comerical failure MoP was? Just so you can have your Tinkerer trash class? They will take zero risks the next two expansions when it comes to overall theme, they got enough flak for pandas to last them a while.

this expansion would definitely make me quit wow for good.

Gnolls need lore more than Gnomes do. Same could be said about kobolds and Troggs. Troggs are arguable though.

How is that the gnomes are a joke race? they have been part of wow since vanilla
How is that Mop was comercial failure? The fact that it sold less than previous expansion doesnt make it a commercial failure. A commercial failure is when you sell a product and you cant do profit or your profit is so small that it is not worth the time and resources used in it.

Gnomes are a joke race, because their in-game existence is largely based around comic relief. Their voices, animations and things they're generally seen doing (Or causing) are all tinged with a sense of humour. When a Goblins fucks up, he blows up. When a Gnome fucks up, he somehow manages to create something spectacularly amazing and wonderful that has no discernible use. Hell, their city is basically fucked up because Mekkintorque thought it was a great idea to go along with Thermaplug's plan to irradiate all the troggs in their city, thus making their city uninhabitable. It's basically like someone going to Chernobyl and saying "Oh, I know what would make things better!" and then set off a nuclear meltdown.

I really like the idea of a titan factory world, and the concept pics you chose would make for some seriously awesome content. We got a taste of that kind of artistic path in the various blue-dragon dungeons in WotLK I think. The Burning Legion engineering seen in current-era Outland is also some of my favourite art in WoW. I'm also of the opinion that we could use more gnomish sights in WoW, since their engineering can also be pretty cool. Personally, I think the lore theme is better than usual as well, because up until now most WoW expansions have been based around existing cataclysmic villains, and there's been little room to actually move the storyline forward in a way that doesn't feel tacked on. I think many WoW fans actually really dislike it when WoW ventures into the fantasy-tech/sci-fi/steampunk territories, and are quite vehement about wanting WoW to be high fantasy and high fantasy alone. Unfortunately for me, I think Blizzard would be wise to listen to their players.

As much as I respect gnomes, an expansion dedicated to a single player race couldn't go well. I mean no disrespect to Pandaren, of course.

While Goblins took a serious, adult themed turn in their story and turned out to be more than just greedy little Orcs, Gnomes continued to be a living Mini-Me joke and the givers of every stupid collection quest the Alliance could possibly have.

An expansion purely based on Gnomes? Sorry but no thanks. However, I do like the concept of "The Factory", maybe it could be that the Gnomes caused the portal to open to that place but don't put them in center of attention.

I've always wanted more gnome stuff in the game, I just think it'll never happen for whatever reason. Apparently humans are more exciting than dwarves/gnomes

Gnome zones/cities (gnomeregan) should be more present in future expansions. Just something i'd like to see

I wouldn't mind it but I don't think Blizzard would go for it.

Blizzard Dev 1: You know I was thinking about all the crap we got for making a panda expansion.
    Blizzard Dev 2: Yeah, and?
Blizzard Dev 1: Well, it sucked that some people couldn't look past pandas and enjoy the content.
Blizzard Dev 2: So what are you thinking?
Blizzard Dev 1: Our next expansion idea should be about Gnomes.

And that was why GC left.

I kid, but in all seriousness, I think because of how immature people were being about Pandas, they would want to stay away from something else that may seem like a joke.

I think he ment MARCH (as in, to march, a progresson, etc) instead of MARSH (as in, a watery lowland / swamp)
