    Computer problem - Screen static

I've had this problem twice in the last 1-2 months now (isn't a common occurance). As far as i know they both happened this way, the second time did for sure.

I started watching a tv show on 4od (steaming it basically) and my main monitor (my second one was fine) became covered in static/noise such as http://scarlettracery.files.wordpres...ion-static.jpg

I couldn't do anything on that monitor, on my second monitor everything worked fine. I'd say it's a problem with the monitor but it only happened as soon as i clicked fullscreen. I restarted my PC and it's fine again.

I tried to google the problem but i couldn't find anything, any ideas?

    Thanks

It just happened again when i tried to do the exact same thing, literally the second i clicked fullscreen. I then moved my mouse over and moved the browser onto my second screen and clicked fullscreen and it fixed the problem. Wtf is going on lol...

And it just happened with BF4 as soon as it went fullscreen, sigh. I then restarted pc and the problem still persisted, i changed the port the monitor was connected to on my gpu and it's working now. I'll have to see if it still happens i guess.

    That didn't fix it.

    Monitor is a Ben Q XL2411T

    I have a 690 GPU

It's happened like 6+ times in the last hour now.

What was the resolution? You never ended up posting it!

What kind of cable are you using to connect to your monitor? I had a bad HDMI cable connecting my blu-ray player to the TV that did the same thing randomly. If you have a spare one try that and see if it clears it up.

I'm using a DVI cable. I'll try to use a new one, thanks for the tip! I will update my post with the result.

I switched to a DisplayPort cable and everything works fine now. Thanks for the advice.
