Non-Fiction Book Suggestions?

Anybody read anything life changing lately? I am looking for a good book now that the weather is so crappy. Non-fiction preferred but if you have fiction that is making a political commentary (like most sci fi) or something that could be good too.

Karl Marx - Capital: A Critique of Political Economy is a good series of books. First 3 books are normally priced, 4th isn't printed anymore so it's a bit more.

Henry Kissinger - 3 book series - Years of Renewal, Years of Upheaval and White House Years. They're great big books and pretty darn cheap.

The User Illusion (Mærk Verden) by Tor Nørretranders was really interesting - it might be slightly dated now though. It is basically about how our perception of reality is delayed with a few seconds - and at the same time is a simplified version.
Our consciousness is only able to process about 20 bits per second. But we recieve upward 20 million bits every second - from sound, visions, etc. The most part of the reality is simply filtered off. The book is about what happens to all the information and illustrates that we do benefit from it, because our subconsciosness actual is capeable of sorting out those millions of bits.

The Hot Zone is also great. It is as exciting as a thriller. It is about Ebola Virus and its behaviour, where it came from and the scientist who works in BioHazard 4 environments.

Einstein's Dreams by Alan Lightman is not non fiction - but it is still based of the physicist's theories of space-time. It spekulates what would happen in the world if time behaved differently. If time went backwards for example. Or if time would split up and go in many different directions.
One of my favorit books.
