SATA Problems Need Help !!

I was searching for parts online for my pc build and the HDD's specs were SATA 6 or SATA 3 . What is the difference and do i have to buy cables for them are they different. Like do i have to buy different cables for different SATA.

They're all backwards compatible with each other and use the same cables. However, the SATA 6 (which are actually SATA 3 - the 6 you're using refers to 6Gbit transfer speeds) drives are likely the best choice since they're current. Any SATA 2 (or SATA 3Gbit) drives will be used or have been sitting on a shelf for a couple years.

For clarification

SATA1 = 1.5Gbit
SATA2 = 3.0Gbit
SATA3 = 6.0Gbit

As Glo said... all are compatible with eachother (A SATA1 drive will work on a SATA3 class board, and a SATA3 drive will work on a SATA1 class board, however at limited (but still decently fast) speeds.

Notably, there are no "SATA1" or "SATA3" or whatever cables. SATA cables are SATA cables. If anything, something labelled "SATA3 cable" might just be better quality or something as a marketing gimmick, but there is no technical difference.
