Different muscle mass/weight within a race for customisation?

With all the talk of subraces going on at the moment. I was curious how people thought about different muscle mass or weight for your character. For example, if I wanted to play a female blood elf warrior I would love the option to make her look more bulky. I'm not suggesting different skeletons within a race/sex, but instead just broader limbs etc.

    Thoughts anyone?

I'm all for it, but I don't think it's necessary though.

There's no imaginable reason to be against, this pole is pointless IMO.

They've already said no for this. Reason being that you'd have to have it on a slider most likely, otherwise you'll get an absolute ton of arrows to click. They don't want to do sliders because otherwise people begin maxing them to get the most stupid looking thing possible. The more features you add to customise the more ways there are to create an abomination and people WILL do it. At least with the somewhat limited options they have now, sure they look similar but they all look good

    Yes

I'm so tired of looking at a male gorilla on steroids (Humans) or a walking fridge (Male Draenei).

I also want to see a skinny Orc and a fat Troll.

Well, nvm, there's a reason to be against.

Yeah I can totally understand that. I was honestly thinking like...3 options for each though. I don't know. I am just a sucker for customisation. :P

I would love it but it will likely not happen.

I, too, would be ok with 3 or 4 "arrows to click", really, like, "skinny - beefy - fat" would be enough. I'm not looking for Sims 3 customization here (or want really even want it, people would go over the top with it and I don't want something that is too immersion breaking), just something that makes it so my rogue and my paladin aren't both same build. Wtb meth defias as playable?

As long as it keeps with the game's lore and concept art (I couldn't care less about the models, they're mostly Blizzard's failed attempt to translate the concept art to the game, and I hope the revamp fixed this), sure.

I'd love it, but it's far too much customization for Blizzard to be willing to add it.

I want to make a 4"9' orc warrior with maxed bodyfat, long arms, short legs and huge hands/feet. And a tiny head.

    So agree with you here.

Damn shoulde--eh.. humans looks ridiculous. And Draenei males... they are the only race/sex I'd actually /spit on for that reason alone.

I've been thinking of making a Draenei male called xxXSwAGsterYOlolXxx or something like that to piss people off.

I think this should happen, but I know it won't happen. Blizzard seems to dislike customization and uniqueness, something I picked up on back when classes were getting nerfed because people found a way to play outside the norm (Ranged DKs, DPS Holy priest).

Not a jab at Blizzard, but rather they seem to be leaving their RPG roots in favor of a streamlined MMO.

I want it, but it's a low priority and it's not going to happen.

lmfao... People sticking to lore for phenotype. Seriously? Who cares if some braindead cuss herps and derps around with a body slider? People tend to ignore the dumbasses or feed them buckets of tears. There is absolutely no reason for it not to be in game short of 'it's not planned right now'. If they get around to it, it'd be amazing.
You're not to think you are anything special. You're not to think you are as good as we are. You're not to think you are smarter than we are. You're not to convince yourself that you are better than we are. You're not to think you know more than we do. You're not to think you are more important than we are. You're not to think you are good at anything. You're not to laugh at us. You're not to think anyone cares about you. You're not to think you can teach us anything.

I would love to have it, I would rather not have my male human warlock look like he lives in a gym, he needs to look like a well-placed punch from a warrior could break him. That is why warlocks use demons, to make up for a lack of physical strength, at least in my eyes.

About the same for my female rogue, I want her to be a bit shorter, but yet athletic. As if she jumps around on rooftops looking for opportunities for burglary.

I would love it, but then again, Blizzard would have more work to do, cause the armor needs to scale as well, else you'll get even more clipping issues and other strange things.

You don't have to put it on a slider, you can just give people a few preset options. This is what most newer MMOs do and few of them even allow you to make a fat character (I can only think of SWToR that let you make fat people and they only let you make fat males... and rather few people ran with the fat option). It hasn't been possible with the old models of WoW but if the game was released today they'd include something like that for sure.
