It's easy to google how to shift-click the name in in-game chat. I'm interested in an addon or other method to easily copy paste an item from the game to google.

Some of the chat modification addons feature the ability to copy text from chat to the clipboard.

Yes, I discovered the select all ctrl-c way, but it's the same I had figured when I had last looked at it again.
It's a bit ridiculous for so many years there is no consistent way to do it with one click or at least one-click + modifier.
Though I suspect it _might_ be related to bliz trying to not to make stuff in the game link to spam websites etcetera poetry.
