I was going to go for a more realistic and dark prediction but I'll go for a more whimsical and interesting prediction and say that humans will make contact with another intelligence.

I predict the health service in the UK crumbles, hundreds if not thousends will die in pain because of the health service going on strike, since they can't maintain the number of people coming into the country.

I've heard the UK is getting pretty bad, especially with migrants from the middle east. Do you have any stats on this? Studies? I'm interested to know more.

I think I am going to win this thread when we look back at it in a year.

I predict 2014 will be pretty much exactly the same as 2013. There will be no life changing event. The year won't be gloomy, nor will it be bright. It will simply be another year...just like the last one and the one before that.

Sure, some shit will happen, but I bet the status quo will not change for about 99% of us.

Though, I hold no predictions over all as I take more importance of keeping a check on that I atleast can do something about it from my part. Working as a volunteer for over a year now, and loving it. So, I just predict that a year will go faster and slow, sun will rise and sun will set - that winter comes and ice is still slippery - and that the ones one care for do stay well.
