I know 9ish.
All right, gentleperchildren, let's review. The year is 2024 - that's two-zero-two-four, as in the 21st Century's perfect vision - and I am sorry to say the world has become a pussy-whipped, Brady Bunch version of itself, run by a bunch of still-masked clots ridden infertile senile sissies who want the Last Ukrainian to die so they can get on with the War on China, with some middle-eastern genocide on the side
I know many...my wife is one of them
umm, if its happened enough times that you make a thread about it, maybe its happened enough times that you should examine your behavior instead?
I know myself and one more that plays wow, irl anyway. I know many more in game!
Just one possibly 2, most of my friends don't play computer games >.<
Not sure if it counts but I met a girl in wow who I then went out with for two years during which we both played wow.
My girlfriend and a really good friend who is a girl both play. I don't see why a girl you're friends with in real life would ignore you in a game...sounds a bit odd.

Actually, reding the thread makes the intent quite unclear.
1) Do you know a female irl that plays wow
2) that didn't put you on their ignore list
If you know them in real life, and you both enjoy playing the game, chances are you wouldn't be on their ignore list ... unless you don't really -know- them, you know -of- them.
Basically, it sounds more like he is hitting on girls or toons they assume are girls and getting ignored; taking some assumption that most of them are not girls because they are sad and upset that hitting on strangers in a video game may not be the best approach at meeting the opposite sex or making friends.
To address the first part of the idea of the thread, yes. Irl my wife played. A lady friend played. Many people in the guilds I've been in have played with their girlfriends and wives. I've met several lady players over the years, with them talking over vent and linking the social media of the time (myspace, facebook) including instant communication services like IMs/Skype ... and some even through an actual phone! gosh!!!
The female players seem more rare because you are expecting something; like them to talk or act different. Have different goals in the game. To automatically express they are female like it is some prerequisite before playing with new people ... things you'd not expect a male player to do.
In game, it doesn't matter what sexual organs a person has; it just matters that they have fun, and have fun with who they play with, no matter what goals and content they engage in.
I know a few, some irl, but mostly in the game. And I haven't been blocked by any girls that I know of.
I used to have a male night elf rogue on WoW that I would go do /flirt emotes with random female characters, but never whispered them. And nowadays I mostly play female toons on any MMO, and it doesn't really matter to me what the gender is on the other side of the screen as long as the people I'm playing with are having fun. I tend to treat everyone I meet the same, unless I get to know them on a deeper level.

I'm still not really sure what the point of this thread is after 5 pages.
Dragonflight Summary, "Because friendship is magic"
I know a girl from real life that plays Starcraft 2 on Diamond as random. And she is also hot. And she doesn't have a boyfriend.
ive never met her in real life but i have her on facebook. been friends since vanilla.
Eh, one. My cousin (35, four kids, vegan, fun to hang around with etc) did...but uninstalled once she realized an addiction was coming on. Ah well. I think she was a female nelf hunter :P
my friend used to play wow and i still do. don't know any other girls irl that play, but i know a couple in game.
Since 5 weeks my bnet list has more women than men actually. Recently all my PUG are girls heavy (I also nearly always play with a girl friend) even 2-3 were girl dominated.
And I like it, usually nice raids (that's why I gave her or they give me btag no ? ^^).
And for the real part, my guilds had lot of girls from wolk to cata (when we disbanded). We met a few times, not a single one put me on ignore.
I know alot of girls that play WoW but don't know any in real life, hell I don't even know any guys in real life that play WoW.
My sister played during bc/wotlk, and got 2 hotties in friendlist
