It's the fate of the adorable sidekick character. Nobody likes him. Despite providing comic relief, contrast to just how awesome the heroes are, and someone the audience can feel superior to - he's still getting the votes. He's still gonna get be the target of the badguy's "kick the puppy" moment. He's still gonna be killed off for no good reason.

But it just shows that Blood Fox is evil. It's fine. Just remember to do what heroes do best. Avenge the cute fuzzy thing.
