Smile WoW ultra setting computer build - Budget $600-$800

Hey guys, actually I have already had a list, thanks for the previous discussions in other threads. REALLY APPRECIATE THEM.
Since I cannot post any kinds of links because my account is so new, please click this link to find out the list: pcpartpicker.com/p/2wGzQ
I have already got monitor, mouse and keyboard, so all I need is the tower. And I have the disk of Win7, so I don't need to buy it again.
Is there any improvement of my list? From my opinions, the CPU i5 4670k and the GPU GTX660 are ok. And I want to know whether I can save some money from other parts. My budget is $600-$800, and the main function of the desktop is Wow and browsing the web.
BTW, I am not a native of America so could someone tell how much the computer tax in FL? I am not sure it is 7% or not.
If my sentences have any grammar problems please forgive me and thank you! <3<3<3

You selected K CPU but your mobo doesn't have z87 so it's useless to have unlocked CPU.

Your PC will perform faster with i3 and SSD vs i5 and no SSD.

    Thank you so much!
I found that the socket of i5 4670k is LGA1150, and I found the same LGA1150 on the motherboard information, so I thought they should match
    So what is z87?
I only know a little of the hardware and the reason why I choose i5 is people around me all say i5 and i7 are the trend. But actually I dont know why they are better...
Maybe they perform better on multitasking?
    Thank you again!

the processors from intel come with letter K or not, like i5 4670K this letter tells you that the CPU speed can be increased to more than it is. For example i5-4670k is stock 3.4GHz but you can easily increase it to 4ghz and more. But to do that you also need a motherboard that has z87 chip from intel.
i5 is better than i3, yes, but WoW only uses 2 cores so i3@3.6ghz will be better for wow than i5@3.4Ghz. i3 is only 2 cores but it has HT that makes 4 logical cores, i5 is 4 core but has no HT so it's 4 logical cores, very similar to i3. You are correct, the i5 will do better on multithread applications, but wow needs a strong single thread CPU and i5 is only 6% better than i3 on single thread. So the very first build I suggest was with i5-4670k and z87 chip in mobo, but as you can see it costs quite a bit more and if you are completely new to PC's you might have some issues with overclocking (increasing i5 speed).

Like I said, your best PC would be with i3 and an SSD, as that would be the best performance for the money you have.
Another option would be i5 without K, with the same mobo as for i3 as they are the same LGA1150 socket.

Thank you for your patient answer, Cyrops.
I learn a lot from your words. I decide to build the PC with i3 and an SSD.
    Happy New Year!

Slight correction, hyperthreading has the drawback that it shares physical resources with the thread native to the core it's hosted on, meaning it's only about 20% of a real thread. Basically, those 4 logical cores actually amount to slightly less than 2.5 physical cores.

Same architecture, slower clock speed, a 2MB bigger cache won't make it perform on par, nevermind better. The i3 is actually flat out better than the i5 on single threaded performance.

Depends on what you intend as performance. If it's only frame rates you're interested in this is completely and utterly false, but if loading times are of only slight importance to you then yeah, an SSD is pretty much needed. I'd still recommend getting one due to behing a huge quality of life improvement.

Not really, no. It's a middle way which gets no real performance gain for the OP's activities but has him spending more.

If it's all the same, the i3-4330 (3.5ghz) is a good $30 cheaper than the 4340. You already had a larger budget so the 4340 is fine, but just sort of tossing it out there. I don't feel 100mhz is worth $30.

    i3-4130 @ 3.4ghz = $35/ghz ($120)
    i3-4330 @ 3.5ghz = $38/ghz ($133)
    i3-4340 @ 3.6ghz = $44/ghz ($160)

Can we get a quote on that? i3>i5 Single Threaded sounds like BS.

I checked Anandtech CPU Benchmarks Single Threaded, and the i5 beats the i3 in each and every one single-threaded benchmark there is.

You asked for a quote, then didn't provide one. What exactly were you checking?

Generally speaking, the i3's are better due to their cost efficiency.

A 3.6ghz i3 is the same thing as the 3.4ghz i5 (which turbos to about 3.6).

    A 3.6ghz i3 is the same think as a i5-3570K OC'd to about 4.0ghz.

Personally, I see no point in getting any i5 unless its a 4670K.

So...this build will perform bad in 25-raid? like only has 10+frames...I just want to have a better or ultra setting and a 30+ frames in wow.

    - - - Updated - - -

chazus, actually I read your comments in other threads and reference some components from your list ;D
I cannot find out the exact comment but I remember that you said you run an ultra setting with normal shadow with the desktop build similar with this one. Hope my memory is not that bad. :X

That setup (the i3) will run pretty good in 25m raids. Not the -best- but 30 ought to be pretty manageable. The only thing better is a 4670K setup, and you're only going to get a 20% boost from that... at a cost of like $200 more.

I would say.. if you got the i3, you'll be happy with what you spent and the performance it does.

Thank you kindly chazus, as a student, I think this setup is enough for me.
