Number one for me is Queens of the Stone Age. Favorite stuff other than them from the last month or so switches between Airbourne, Monster Truck, Orianthi, Toseland, Alter Bridge, Joe Satch, CCR, Two Steps from Hell, Dead Mau5, Knife Party, Feed me, Celldweller, Zero 7 and Bonobo.
Other than those, my Spotify account is covered with all manner of stuff, last few stared songs are from One Republic, Arctic Monkeys, The Pretty Reckless, Reckless Love, Crashdiet, Cee Lo and Spiderbait.

insane amounts of Apocalyptica (got their new album Wanger Reloaded on as we speak)
lots of Bear McCreary (mostly his work from BSG)
Nine Inch Nails have been a staple for a long time

and of course the first band I ever REALLY got into, The Offspring, I've made sure to have at least Ixnay on the Hombre in every musical medium I've owned
Check out the blog I write for LEGENDARY Indie Label Flicknife Records:

Been going through my album collection as of late (I still buy albums, mostly for the cover art) and in the last week I've listened to Lindsey Stirling, Amaranthe, Lacuna Coil, Three Days Grace, Evans Blue, Devour the Day, Bullet for my Valentine, Killswitch Engage, among others.

Its mostly been about a month of scrolling through my music list in my external HD and getting to a "Hmm...its been a while since I listened to THAT!" and queing it up while I'm online.

Other than that, some Hank Green, Metallica, Disturbed, Brentalfloss, Twisted.

So, basically, I'm lying to people when I tell them I mostly listen to metal... I had no idea
I've no idea what to write here.

Friend of mine turned me on to Dark Age. They're pretty fucking good. Also been (slightly embarassingly) listening to a good bit of In This Moment...

And yeah, I saw ATR live a few weeks back. One of the best concerts I've ever been to, so much energy.

Heard the new stuff from Device yet? I imagine you'd like it if you enjoyed Disturbed.

Can't agree here...they've evolved into a band that I don't even bother to buy their albums anymore, haven't released a great album since 2002's Natural Born Chaos IMO, they went downhill after that one. And I'll take Chainheart over Living Infinite any day of the week.

Death from Detroit? Those guys were insanely ahead of their time.

I've been listening to a lot of Masked Intruder and Teenage Bottlerocket lately.

I've been reacquainting myself with Sonic Youth, especially their newer material. Murray Street and Sonic Nurse in particular seem to be getting better and better with every listen.

Other than that, certain '90s hip hop acts.

Got the album Because the Internet by Childish Gambino as a birthday gift a few days ago. A lot better than the typical 'bling & bitches' rap out there.

It's odd, when I was in college, and a younger, more ambitious man, I enjoyed hip hop. Now, older, more weary and fed up with things around me, I listen to more rock than I used to. Nice to get something different.
