Audrey. It's the same number of letters, same number of syllables, and same alphabetical location as my original given name. Just properly female, and not assigned to me by soul-consuming assholes.

I text'ed a list containing that, and all the other names I researched that fit the same criteria, to one of my friends at random with absolutely no context or explanation and was like, 'Hey, which of these names do you like best?'

And thus Audrey.

One impulsive text reply different and I might have been 'Autumn', hahaha.

When I was little I thought you had to buy names - and that reusing them was cheaper. Instead my mum was jealous that my older brother was Eamonn IV, so made a Kathleen II.
