Just finished Avatar the last airbender, end was odd because Zuko was all "where is my mother" and I expected to see the mother sometime in the rap up part but no mother :<

Time to move on to Korra.

There's a comic. The show's creators wanted to focus on the Avatar's journey for the actual animation, but they've licensed a comic for expanding on the world. All canon.

Episode 1 scene 1 of Korra was like a lets forget lots of established stuff about people knowing who the avatar is and revealing it to them on their 16th birthday, now it's something people claim and then they have to prove it and she can suddenly bend everything to prove it at like 6. o.o

The comic is ongoing, iirc.

Korra is...different. She's something of a prodigy. Also, the Avatar vanished for 100 years. The established procedure kinda went out the window.

Also, she can't bend all the elements.

And even though he vanished for 100 years, the things about the avatar still remained. That's why when he first went avatar state, everyone around the world knew the avatar was back.

Yeah, they knew, but pretty much only the fire nation still had the sages set up, and they'd switched missions.

Well, all but one had, and Ang had like 60 years to recreate it instead of it ending up being a group of white lotus people visiting everyone with a claim.

Was thinking of moving on to Bleach since I want to watch more of that again for the current Mafia game, since Korra isn't as good as the last airbender, but I see the seasons are pretty short (only 12-14 episodes compared to the 20-21 of last airbender) so might stick it out anyway.
