I was looking for 5.1 pc speakers a while ago. Ended up buying a 2nd hand 850w surround sound stereo for £100 on ebay lol.

I could never go back to tiny pc speakers again lol.

Works with my PS3, Tv and Pc, can also switch back to just tv sound when late at night too.

There seem to be plenty of "cheap" home theatre systems under £100 just can't tell if any of them are worth buying.

Couple of the ones I've got in open tabs right now:

    OneConcept-Surround-Speaker-Channels-Subwoofer - £68.90
    Creative Inspire A520 5.1 Speakers - £47.99
    Creative Labs A550 5.1 Gaming Speakers - £56.99
    Creative Labs, Creative Inspire T6300 - £65.70
Xenta 5.1 Channel Surround Sound Home Theatre System - £99.99
Hercules XPS 5.1 Surround Sound Speakers - £83.50
    Sony DAVTZ140 5.1ch DVD Home Cinema System - £95.00
Shine Home Cinema Speaker System with Stands (5.1 Channels, Active Technology & 95W RMS Power) - Black - £99.90
Auna YC-5.1 Cinema-B Home Cinema Surround Sound Tower Speakers 100W RMS - £119.90

    Ok so I got the
Creative Labs, Creative Inspire T6300 speakers and the Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio soundcard. I finally managed to get hold of a suitable length of optical cable. the only trouble is that when I do the loopback I get the following sound (recording taken by mic next to a speaker)
