Are you going to try the beta?

I'm really excited to see all the new info coming with the beta but traditionally I don't try the betas because I feel it would spoil the experience for me, this time I don't know if I can resist

    What about you?

If I get an invite, of coarse I will try it out.

Yes. I actually test things, submit logs, and help with theorycrafting and raid testing prior to the launch of the game.

So many people treat beta as "early access" and contribute nothing, opting to just spoiling the expansion for themselves.

I'm usually the same as you, OP- don't wanna spoil that first time feeling of stepping through the portal into Draenor, but it's just so tempting!

Either way, I know I'll have MMO-C up and constantly hitting refresh. :P

If the WotLK Beta is any indication you won't be spoiling much, unless staring at the login screen spoils it somehow.

I always try really hard to get into Betas.
I apply from like 5 different emails (not even sure if it works).

But once I get in, I end up leaving and not coming back.
Not because I don't like the content, but because I don't like to spoil it.

I like to get in and experiment with the different class changes, and I use Beta to essentially figure out what class I will enjoy most in the next expansion.
Once I've figured out what class I wan't to play, I bid Beta farewell and wait for the actual release.

Most likely. I'll try out the lv 100 monk talents, rogue talents and mage talents and see how ridiculous WoW is becoming <3

I will participate in the WoD beta if I am invited. With the joy of responsibility comes the burden of obligation.

I always avoid it. I get enough of a fix from the front page info. While I'd love to check out the new PVP world zone I think I might just wait till its all released rather then be too burnt out by the expansion.

fully depends on if I get an invite if so yes, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it if I do not.

Try is the keyword. Like: log in, check it out a little and build some hype. Having played all of the last 2 betas I wouldn't recommend anyone doing it. God I hope level 100 warrior talents will be more interesting, otherwise maybe time to reroll after 7 years.

You know that the talents are not final right? Take MOP talents for example, yeah.....

As much as I don't want to spoil much for myself, I most likely will try it if I can. I'll probably put up some videos on Youtube for people, but I'm not going to play every bit of it.

  17. #17
Probably not, I like to see everything for the first time on launch day.

Only time I tried beta was to try pet battles in MoP :P

You aren't more important then other beta testers though. Betas need to be played by all sorts of people, even those who don't give a shit about bug testing. You always get a general feedback one way or another from beta testers.

It becomes an issue when the beta feedback boards are spammed with threads of "DO I GET TO KEEP MY STUFF?????" or "YOU NERF CLASS YOU DIE IN FIRE" while actual feedback is pushed to the 3rd page.
