Recently I purchased a gaming PC from PC Specialist, I had issues with it on three occasions within 2 months every time it was the same issue that they said was fixed when really it wasn't.
Basically I asked for a refund and it was approved I was just wondering what is a credit note from PC Specialist
A credit note is literally just that, a note on their system saying that they owe you money. (IE Your account with them is in credit)
In most cases a credit note is similar to store credit except that in the UK you are entitled to request that they actually refund the amount of credit to your payment card. Credit notes are usually issued in the B2B (Business to Business) environment where it is likely that that credit will be used the following month and it would cost more in admin time and /or banking fees to actually transfer the money than to just deduct it from next months bill.
As far as I am concerned. In the retail environment if somewhere has failed to meet expectations and has ended up conceding to a full refund they have no right whatsoever to issue a credit note that can only be used in their store (store credit) or company.
