    yeah ive downloaded it just to see what the icons are. but they werent included in the addon pack so was a waste of download and ive PM'd him on twitch a few weeks back but no respons. and he doesnt seem to be active on Wowinterface either

    That does come close yes, but seems to have more a gradient than the chiselled look of the originals.
    Ironic it being called "original" when it doesn't very much resemble it aside from the outline shape.

    I am wondering if asking the CleanIcons author for such a theme is realistic, given how it imo might not be too different from the "original" theme they already produce.
    Clean Icons Chiselled or Clean Icons Classic, I can see that working.

    I ended up just manually making a Masque skin to produce the icons I wanted. It was just a question of getting the size right and the TexCoords value right. I used a plain-Jane square border from something else. Here's how they look:
