    Where are they fighting? It matters. If it's in space, then I think the astronaut wins by default since the caveman can't breath.

    Does the astronaut have any tools or equipment at hand? If they're both naked, fighting in the mud, then I'd say it's equal but otherwise the astronaut could just whack him with a space wrench.

    Shorter? Maybe. Dumber? Maybe. Let's not confuse intelligence with being smart. One is about knowledge, the other is about how to use said knowledge. And weaker? I don't think so. Cavemen have no clothes, and therefore their skin is much less sensitive to blows as a modern human skin is. Plus they get 'physical' way more often than we do, and since we're talking about an astronaut, and not someone who weight lifts for a living, I think the caveman has serious advantage, here.
