When should I upgrade or build a new system?

    Specs:
    Case: Corsair 800D
    CPU:Intel i5 3570K
    GPU: XFX 7850 BE
    PSU: Corsair CX500
    RAM: Kingston HyperX Genesis (2X4GB)
    MOBO: MSI Z77-G45
    COOLER:CM Hyper 212
STORAGE:Samsung 840 SSD 120GB, 1TB WD BLUE, and other old drives.

IS THIS SETUP OUTDATED YET? HOW LONG SHOULD IT LAST ME.(HIGH, MID RANGE, OR LOW?) (IVE HAD IT FOR A YEAR NOW).

If upgrade what should i upgrade to?

I play on 4k resolution and i get 45-55 FPS in Battlefield 3 (medium settings wish it was maxed out).

I generally upgrade when my rig starts having issues running things. Until then I don't bother.

To put things in perspective I am still running a first gen i7 860 and a 5770, it's only now just starting to show signs it needs updating after over four years of solid use. Generally, unless you like turning AA right the way up (which is pretty pointless imo), then I wouldn't bother until the two to three year mark.

I will buy that GPU off you if it can run 4k that well :P Your PC could do with a new GPU but other than that another year or two is gonna be fine before upgrading.

Your GPU is too low on VRAM to handle 4k :P
I think you would need a GPU with at least 3GB for 4k.
    PM me weird stuff :3

That really depends on that game as well as settings, 2GB is probably fine for medium settings.
