Digital retailer Green Man Gaming and Gamefly Digital has starting taking pre-orders for the PC digital edition of The Elder Scrolls Online AND they have a decent savings 20% off coupon that you can use on this pre-order.

It's the store itself offering a pre-order discount to be ahead of the competition

I've used greenmangaming before personally, I can vouch for them. They are safe, I believe anti-fraud checks where my problem which delayed my delivery but hey, That's a good thing in a way. (was first time user - make a phonecall kinda thing (not sure exactly what, but there was some form of identity check) not 100% sure if this was them or my bank forcing it though)

I've used gamefly several times before too, I dislike them though because they force a client on you now, they never used too, You'd get a steam key before, You still do on some games, It usually says on the sale page where it comes from. I dislike having yet another game downloader/launcher. I wish everyone would just use steam, would make life easier. Origin and UPlay are crap anyway.

Yeah, they're safe. It's the digital download so you don't need to worry about getting anything in the mail in time. I bought it, they sent an email verifying the purchase, gave me a code, signed into ESO main site, applied it and boom all set!

Greenmangaming is legit. I bought several things from them, zero problems at all. They're one of the few 3rd party code sellers that are 100% legit. Others being Gamersgate and GoG.

There was a 25% off for US awhile back, don't think there's going to be another one though. Only seen 20% now.

You might be new to Green Man Gaming, that is pretty much how they roll with most games, it isn't some conspiracy. They had anywhere from a 10% to 50% discount on Skyrim when Skyrim launched depending on the region.

Nonsense, you can play all factions at launch. You can play any race in any faction at launch if you pre-order, you don't have to "PAY EXTRA". I find it funny people will defend a cash shop in a game that makes 1 billion dollars in revenue . But attack MMOs that have high development costs and have made nothing and want to recoup costs. Good logic.

By the way this little "ploy" is from GMG, look them up, they do it all the time. It is a good "ploy" for them to get some sales compared to the big competitors.

A more accurate comparison would that you are not able to play a Draenei or a Blood elf if you did not preorder rather than not buying at all...
