Reset quests

So, before patch 2.0, you chose a quest when farming some route (for example imprisoned angel), and you started from the beginning of that quest. Once you were done with your farm route, and wanted to start it again, you had to reset that quest line in order to reset all the bosses and so on.

Now there's a RESET QUESTS -button right smack dab in the middle of the screen.

Well, silly me, I thought this was the button we need to press to reset that particular quest line again. So, being on torment, having killed Diablo on inferno and thus having done the entire max level, all four acts, I clicked to reset the angel quest. I went into the game, and was confused as to why I was in act1, at the very beginning. So I left the game, went to choose imprisoned angel, and...

F*** my life!

It had reset all my quests on torment. I was back in act1, with no access to act2 or further. So, now I need to go through the entire game again, just to get my farm routes open. I know it's not a huge deal, and I know it's done relatively fast. However, I just thought I'd point it out here in case anyone was wondering what that button does, didn't read or comprehend it's tooltip (if it had any, I didn't even look before clicking), or hadn't noticed the button yet.

So... Unless you're looking to start the entire difficulty level you've selected from scratch in act1, don't click that button.

And you get the quest rewards, yay!

I resetted yesterday and cleared the entire game in a few hours, got plenty of exp and legendaries and other nice drops. Was not bad at all.

It even says that it will reset everything to Act1 if you click Yes.

Unfortunately I just get Error Code 30006 every time

It does indeed reset the guaranteed leg drops from all bosses and semi-bosses as well. Easy way to get 15+ legs a day.

I heard only Skeleton King have guaranted legendary.

Sadly i log in and all my wave points were reset lol, didnt even click the button.

If you reset SK will drop a legendary.

There is a bug where you currently cannot reset if you have pre-ordered the game.

Yes, unfortunately I also did this by accident for the very same reason, though I was key-farming.

So I'm not going through act 2 to get my checkpoints back.

None of the bosses have dropped fuckall for me so far, and I reset my quests. I'm through to ZK soon. Each unique boss has dropped all blue items, maybe 1 rare for one or two of them.

Absolutely and definitely no legendaries.

For starters it's only SK that will drop one if you reset your quests not all of them. My source.

When the patch came up my group of 4 killed SK and we all got one. When we learned about resetting only two of us were able to reset. When we killed SK again for them they both got a legendary. So for you math wiz's out there. That's 6/6. They fixed the reset issue and we all reset again. Wouldn't you know it, all 4 of us got a legendary. So that is 10/10.

Again you don't have to take my word for it. Actually reset your quests and do it and see for yourself.

This whole thread was made, by me, because I did reset my quests, and I did go see for myself. Skeleton King did not drop a legendary. He didn't even drop a rare. Neither did any other boss up until Kulle, who did happen to drop one.

So, yeah... I don't know what to say. Doesn't drop legendaries for me.

You get bonus xp from quests. Not a guaranteed legendary drop from bosses. That doesnt work on chars at lvl 60. However. The chance of getting one is much higher. Ive reset the quests 5 times now. Take me less than an hour and a half speed running through the game on normal. Going torment on bosses. On skeleton king ive got 4 legendaries from 5 kills. Other bosses is kinda wank. Skeleton kind is more or less the only boss that drops for me. This is with 91% MF

i got 91% magic find and got 4 legendaries out of 5 reset kills. Not 100%

I did the exact same thing but it turned out to not be a big deal. Redoing all the quests has opened me up to all the bonus XP and rewards for doing them for the first time.

I went from Paragon lvl 30 to 48 and I just finished act 3. Been running on Torment 1 the whole time.

I have also gotten 8 new legendarys, 2 have been immediate upgrades. So while I was frustrated at the time, I turned out to not be a big deal.
