How your class is compared to other classes is pretty irrelevant in D3. Only question is whether or not you find them fun.

I use the cookie cutter cluster bomb build on noxxic and pull off multiple 1m+ crits per shot, I prefer to run in groups on torment 3 or 4 tho. Having a hard time getting my wizards damage near my DH's

They're easilly the fastest class to gear up (CoA runs in like 30 sec), and it really doesn't matter that much how good your class is compared to the others in this game.
Also, I think they're fine right now, definitely not the best but not lagging that far behind. Furthermore we're not lvl 70 yet so things might change.
