Is Russia hypocritical for invading Georgia for fighting insurgents?
Russia had fought several conflicts with Chechnya and other Central Asian republics, yet claims that they are "internal conflicts against separatist insurgents." Yet at the same time, they criticized and invaded Georgia for fighting separatist insurgents in their own country, also an internal conflict. Now I see Russians, or at least Russian sympathizers, on the internet white-washing the whole affair by claiming they have the moral high ground against Georgia/NATO.
