    Aren't you danes required by law to list Dirch Passer? :P

    My favourite sketch-comedian is a norwegian one named Rolv Wesenlund. The guy was an absolute gem ^^

    Recently i'd have to say one of my favourite sketches was made by a Northern Irish comedian/impersonator with regard to Gerry Adams; which grew very popular over a short amount of time. How funny it would be to those who aren't British/Northern Irish/Irish and/or don't know the context/etc of the situation being referred to (Gerry Adams' arrest) is uncertain;

    Billy Connolly.

    Hilarious, quite rude but somehow never makes it seam crass. And he's a bloke with an obvious love of life and has masses of enthusiasm for pretty much everything, manages to convey a sense of wonder, and is incredibly funny at the same time, which makes him really fun to watch.

    Russel Howard is also good. His tv show "good news" was hilarious.

    top 3 probably Carlin, Lewis Black and Chapelle. honorable mentions for Maher and C.K. Maher is a bit over the top for me on some of his jokes but eh.
