    "easy" class to learn?

I'm new to pvp and like to try it out. Have played wow long though so i have all classes except druid and warlock at 90.

Which class is easiest to learn and to be decent at? I dont need to be really good, just decent is enough.

Not that found of casters but if they are easy to learn and play ok i might try that?

    Pls advice.

If you pick a class you enjoy playing you will get decent pretty fast.

I would say rogue, for the most part with stealth as long as you are careful you get to time when you enter and leave a fight, I'm not a huge pvper myself but being able to not be seen while recup healing or scouting around you can provide info to your team and help cause a distraction if need be.

Rogues are one of the hardest classes to play well and master

If you want easy to learn/effective/fun, then I would suggest a hunter (any spec), mage (frost or fire) or a rogue. All 3 have a high skill cap but they also are very effective, fun and easy to get good results at low skill lvls. That's my suggestion and I hope it helps. Keep in mind all this could change by the time patch 6.0 drops.

With no disrespect I don't totally agree here. Blizzard has made stealth and restealth a really big (bigger than previously) part of rogue play and managing it can be a little frustrating at times.

Since you're coming from pve I'd pick a class that has less CC with more damage, to start. Warriors and dk's are a decent place to start, the most trying part will be learning not to get kited (chasing an enemy) but once you get a little gear it will get a lot easier.

If you like battlegrounds (random especially) hunters are great as survivability can be really nice in lowish gear due to kiting and great cc.

If you want to try a caster and not be frustrated with early play I'd pick a frost mage due to lots of utility while you're gearing. Hope you come to enjoy pvp! Early gearing always sucks but try not to get discouraged, performance scales EXPONENTIALLY with gear unfortunately.

These except ele. If you're just getting into pvp its hard to get used to being trained right away. you will absolutely get trained to death as ele.

There are several options for you:
    - arms warr: easiest spec to play in wow, almost no setup for your damage, you can oftentimes just use offensive skills at random and still do good damage. One of the worst for 1v1, but very strong in a group
    - frost dk: more or less like the warrior, but requires a bit more skill. Still easy to use for beginners, but with the benefit that if you get good at it, you can switch to unholy (which is better but more complicated), so you can improve and become a better player
    - hunter: this will be your best choice if you know how to kite and you don't click. If you're still a clicker, hunter will be quite problematic, so go with the warrior or frost dk.

    Good luck!

Frost DK or Arms Warrior by far the easiest to start doing pvp.
Any caster is harder to play in pvp and classes with pets can be a bit tricky to start

    Wow nice response!

I think i go with arms warr then, played that pve in cata and really enjoyed it!

    Thanks again!

I felt that Frost DK was extremely easy and straight forward, it's efficient and a lot of fun in BGs. Didn't get this feeling right out of the box with any other class I tried in PvP.

Not sure if it's still so squishy, as I haven't played Frost DK for quite some time now.

It's disappointing that all of the lvl 100 talents look like PvE crap in their current version.

DK. obliterate, howling blast, frost strike, collect honor.

Frost DKs put out very high damage when allowed to. The problem is everyone knows this, and combined with their utter lack of damage reduction or abilities to force a target swap they are immediately trained by every single enemy player in range. It gets very frustrating. Arms warriors deal out similarly high damage but have vastly superior defensive and escape tools at their disposal.

Go arms warrior. Great damage, fantastic damage reduction, great mobility. Only thing they lack is CC, but very little coordinated CC occurs in randoms and low rated 2's so just enjoy smashing faces.

Maybe in Arenas but OP is probably talking about regular BGs. No one assist's in BGs. I have seen people leave super saiyan Ele shaman alone letting them freecast death on every enemy player.

Enhance shaman are pretty easy too. My vote for easy melee is enhanced and frost dk. Both suffer from the same squishy problem.

Warriors or Hunters. Both have few resources to manage, easy DPS rotations/priorities, easy CC. Warrior would be easier as it doesn't have a pet to manage.

Personally I believe you can become decent at any class you really want to play. The only problem is picking one and sticking with it rather then seeing the green grass over the fence and jumping to that class.

If you find enhance squishy, you are doing it wrong.

Ot.. Warrior, frost dk, or elemental shaman if you are talking about random bgs.

Frost DK is such trash that its not even an option. You have to be the ultimate masochist to play that spec in a competitive environment.

Arms Warriors and Unholy DK's are the easiest to play and require the least amount of awareness to be good. The skill floor and caps are so low, that ultimately, both classes will have to be carried by other players playing classes with a larger tool kit. All that is essentially required of you is to know how to mash a pve rotation on people and use defensive cool downs at the right time. Everything else is all up to how good your team mates are. There will be times in a dire situation where you will look at your action bar and be like "Is there anything support wise I can do?" and the answer will be a solid "No."

There's not much of a difference between a Glad Warrior/DK and a Rival Warrior/DK. The small difference you might see is that the Glad one is a little faster reaction time wise. But that's about it. I can guarantee anyone here that Glad level players could find any random Rival Warrior/DK and make him Glad without much difficulty. Now compare that to replacing your Glad Mage with a Rival Mage and you won't be able to carry him.

I would argue that a Glad Warrior/DK is the equivalent of a 1800 player playing anything that isn't those two classes. Just the sheer amount of responsibility and awareness that other classes are required to have to be considered "decent" topple anything that Warriors/DK's have to do.

Random battlegrounds aren't a 'competitive environment'. He should be fine there as a Frost DK.
