I would say try to mix and match Crit/Haste gear until you have ~20% Haste, then go Crit/Mastery. As for Gems I would say if below 20%, a mix of Crit and Haste. Above 20%, full Crit.

If you want to do a preliminary look at what to expect, you can use Wowhead's Profile. For example, this is my character and you can get a general idea of what your stats will look like:

One other thing... You may want to look into getting Cata food/flasks. Due to the stat reduction, quite a few of the older expansion consumables/enchants are giving more stats than the MoP equivalents. Such as flasks, and food:

Even enchants are looking to be pretty good:

    Executioner - http://wod.wowhead.com/spell=42974 compared to http://wod.wowhead.com/spell=104425

So the uptime on Mongoose is about the same as Dancing Steel and it's actually worth using? Can't remember what the uptime is like myself, haven't used it since I played feral in WotLK.
Oh, and did you end up running it through Simcraft to check, if so, mind posting the results?

Running the sims myself, assuming just changing the 2x "dancing_steel" to "mongoose" is all it takes(using the T16M 1h profile). Did 10k iterations with both sets, Mongoose got 15,259 DPS and Dancing Steel got 15,462. Doing a 50k for each as well, just to make sure.

    50k results:
Mongoose: 15,261 (20% uptime on each hand)
DS: 15,459 (~46.5% uptime on each hand)
Windsong: 15,179 (16% uptime per buff per hand)
Executioner: 15,086 (36% uptime, didn't list seperate MH and OH uptimes)

Random thing I noticed: the Readiness buff in Simcraft says 66%(using the BiS profile), but the highest you can get it in-game is 54.46%. Not sure if there's some technical reason for that, just thought I'd mention it.

TL;DR: The MoP enchants are 100-200 DPS(0.5-1.5%) stronger than their TBC counterparts.

I'm not sure how you was Simcrafting it but each Sim I did I was getting 51.77% uptime on mh and 51.77% on oh for Mongoose and 46.56%% mh 46.45%% oh for Dancing Steel, also went with 10k iterations

Copied the T16M profile, changed "dancing_steel" to "mongoose", changed it to use all buffs(I think there were 2 that weren't ticked by default) and ran 10/50k iterations.

Just ran it again, same result(20% uptime/hand) Dropbox with the results

    I'm using the 64bit WoD version(602-10-12)

You're correct sorry I had the wrong client open -_- same results as you 20% for mongoose 46% for ds, still quite crazy to see only about a 200 dps loss for mongoose.

Should I still use 2pc tier with HWF or switch to 4pc tier?

So FoF and RSK just got a 10% buff according to the class balancing hotfixes they still pushed through. I think our new priority is still the same, with FoF>RSK if debuff is up.

    Nevermind. Misread something.
Soothing Mist:"Healing them for a minor amount every 0.5 sec, until you take any other action."
Jade Serpent Statue: "The statue will also begin casting Soothing Mist on your target. healing for 50% as much as yours. "
    [What's half of minor?]
"Statue casts Soothing Mist at a nearby ally for toddler healing."

Just as an update, I did some testing on Beta, and it does not look like the Windwalker ones specifically (FoF and RSK) were hotfixed yet. But I'll do some testing once the live servers come up and test again then.

You guys are awesome! Thank you so much for your hard work - this has been a wonderful beta (and somewhat PTR) cycle. With 6.0 coming out, I'm going to go ahead and wrap up this thread. Feel free to start posting to the new Windwalker thread!
