Because Cobra Shot is Nature damage, which, being elemental damage, benefits from SV's Mastery. Focusing Shot appears to be physical, which is not elemental damage, would not benefit from SV's Mastery. It matters fundamentally to discussing the talent, since SV could potentially remove almost all physical damage (excluding lvl 90 talents and multishot), leaving almost exclusively elemental damage sources, from their rotation in WoD.

Cobra is nature, which benefits from Mastery. Focusing is physical which does not benefit from mastery.

What they should do is fix Lone Wolf so that it buffs pet if you have it out for SV/MM and buffs Hunter if you have it dismissed.
