    Mini PC for TV and Gaming

    Hey guys,

    so as a title says I need a mini PC that would be connected to the TV via HDMI just for some streaming purposes and maybe maybe sometimes some gaming.
    The game in question is Smite.
    I am wondering which proc. to go with Intel or AMD, since I will not be using a GFX in the build. And Intel HD graphics are not that bad I hear.
    I mainly need the MB, CPU, HDD, 6/8GB of RAM,PSU and a small case, smaller the better, kinda compact in-sense.
    The budgets would be around 350 CA$. Could go up to 400$. And would buy at in NCIX Canada.

    I would use wireless mouse and keyboard, and the PC would be next to the TV and modem.

    Thanks for your help.

    Ugh. Honestly, I'd save up some and get a Micro-ATX build, or look at a mini-ITX build with a discrete GPU.

    Only thing I'm not sure is if you'd be better of with A10-7800k with slower ram instead of what I chose. Anyone have some data?

    I've found that the A10's perform very poorly when lacking a motherboard >.>

    Whaaaat. I swear there was a motherboard there. Well, that won't work then.

    Okey, this is the lowest I dare to suggest;

    PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

    CPU: AMD A6-6400K 3.9GHz Dual-Core Processor ($65.99 @ NCIX)

    The thing is that if you could spare a few more bucks ($3.63) you could have 2133MHz memory which should boost gaming performance by quite a lot and $5 more you could have 500GB bigger HDD. Also the most expensive part in this build is the motherboard since it's mini-ITX. If you wanted to save some money you could use micro-ATX board with bigger / different case.

    The above setup ought to work fine for basic gaming needs. Both my laptop (A6-4400m) and my work computer (A8-5600K) play WoW decently enough.
