100 Battle.net Friend Limit is ridiculous

I am so tired of having to keep constantly removing friend's that don't play very often because I am almost always at 100 friends, not to mention having 98+ friend's makes it so Oqueue won't work making it like the "golden" days where you had to find people on your realm to do things via Trade (gross). I'm sure the tech would be expensive to expand friend list limits but I'm sure many agree with me that this needs a change. Currently I'm friendly and active with at least 98% of my friend's list and the 2 who I'm not are too important and too big of a deal for me to remove.(I had to remove a bnet friend that I knew very, very, well because of WoW who ended up being one of my best friends but I had to remove him because he had been in a very bad car accident and died. That was incredibly hard to do since it was like the final goodbye.) I'm not sure exactly what I'm trying to say, maybe just trying to get it out there and hopefully someone with a much bigger and more important name than mine could get Blizzard's attention about it.

Is all you do chat all the time you are logged in? o.0
98% of the time active with friends, with ~98 b.net friends, that leaves you with just about no room to even see your guild chat scroll by in between the whispers right?

Well Active doesn't mean they all play at the exact same time. :P

Look at this guy pretending to have friends

No in all seriousness I know a few people who have really networked in WoW primarily since the inclusion of Flex and MSV/HoF/ToES/ToT being cross realm. I personally don't suffer from the issue but they do.
Personally my real id friend list has about 16 people in it and only 4 or 5 of them are active. The rest are just memories from times past, that my nostalgia glasses keeps convincing me maybe they will log on for a few minutes one day.

    I suppose that's true, but I never said it wasn't a PO
I've never seen a Blizzard response to anything like this.

    I don't even.. what?

    100 friend limit... I don't even have 50 battle.net friends... Wait..

.. I sense this is a connection with oQ and/or cross-realm raiders? (Ah, yes.. re-read again, oQueue.. Well, the system isn't built for oQueue, it is built for Blizzard's setup)

Else.. I don't see anything wrong with a limit of 100 battle.net friends.. Do you even talk to that many? How many has been online within 1 year?

I admit, I have 4 that has been gone for more than a year.. but one hopes they'll return so one can welcome them back ^^

I always purged oqueue people after the event, except the best of the RBGers.

I think 100 BNet friends is ridiculous. I can see being social, but if you cleaned out your list every 30 days of them being inactive, this thread never would have been needed. Stop being a hoarder and learn to clean your list.

I agree they need to add more. Battlenet is not the same as facebook. Don't even compare. There is nothing "personal" in battlenet. Whats the big deal of having plenty randies on your battlenet anyway? Why they have to limit it? I have an addon to serperate realid and battletag.

People on my battletag means they are decent people i can do raids and stuff with or people who can carry my alts. I just leave them there, and delete if they are terrible. I just announce what i want to do and i get whispers, rare chances of getting terrible groups you get from raid browser or openraid.

Battle.net was designed to be used for close friends, and as an extension to their Cross-Realm System, for Cross-Realm Communication & Raids. You sadly fall out of the area that it was designed for, that doesn't make the system ridiculous, it just means you're an extreme they didn't plan for.

Truth it, if you do have 100 people on your Battle.net, I'm sure there are a handful you could get rid of. The system wasn't built for this sort of use, so you can hardly complain that you're using it outside of its intention. It has to have a limit, 100 or 1,000, someone will hit the cap and complain.

I think I have 7 names there and 4 have not logged in for 100+ days. Grats on having so many active playing people you know, but methinks this issue really only touches a small percentage of b.net users. Probably the same ones who hoard 1000+ friends in FB and the like.

I know some people like to add you to friends list based on one good dungeon run or helping out with a quest or whatever, but I do those things to people outside my friendlist, because, well, thats what being friendly means to me.

You can remove everyone on your own realm and just add them to the old school friends list. Remove people you don't play with/speak to/like. That will leave you with 0, problem solved.

its like with people who have 500 friends on facebook but spend weekends alone at home whining nobody invites them anywhere or wants to go out with them for beer,

i have maybe 20 people in real id list and feel thats way way more then enough to either pug myself or pug someone for anything i need in game -_- (and i deliberately call them peopel cause there maybe 2-3 friends among them -_-)

my ignore list on the other hand - omg this shit could be 10000 for all the douchebags in lfr i would gladly ignore ><
