What will happen to already obtained flying mounts in WoD?

Just curious as to how Blizzard will deal with flying mounts in WoD, given they are teasing the idea of never allowing flying in WoD which I am completely neutral toward. Personally I wish flying was never implemented but I just feel bad for people that spent money on all of the flying mounts in the Blizzard store.

Are flying mounts going to be reserved just for travel in old content? I know it's a hackneyed topic but just curious and I'm too lazy to search through blizz responses. It definitely seems like kind of a bait and switch to sell so many flying mounts on the blizzard store, particularly the Iron Skyreaver, just to make them entirely void in WoD.

That is quite unfortunate. Even as someone who was an anti-flying advocate pre-BC I feel like flying is like pandora's box, as much as Blizz wished they hadn't opened it's too late to change it now.

It's not useable. Something about it being instant and "unfair", etc. nvm rogues being able to run in stealth at near mount speeds.

You know that chimera with the jet packs strapped to its ass they're selling people for real money? Go do a keyword search on youtube for "iron skyreaver walking," if you're somewhere it's safe to bray with laughter. Truly, this is the mount of a conqueror!

I actually think the way the Iron Skyreaver travels on the ground looks pretty awesome, far better than the drakes that fold their wings up and strut around like giant chickens.

Whats the use of them not being usable as flight mounts...so will they still be available after WOD or will they all disappear? Who the hell will go running back to old content just to be able to fly?

Flying mounts as a means of exclusively traversing old content is logical, unfortunately only if that had been their plan from the beginning

And they are also useable on the ground, I fail to see what the issue is.
