A 17 year old isn't a kid. It is an adult who knows what he is doing if he wants to be. I ran/help run guilds for years and we had some very mature "kids". The best tank I ever had for a raid team was 14.

I used to tank DS:N (I know not tha hardest raid) back in cata for a guild. After 3-4 runs they asked me to join because I would always be in there PUG group every week. There reactions was priceless when I told them my age in chat. But they still gladly accepted me in.
