    Internet problems

    Hello,

Just came home from work, and i found out that my ISP had done a upgrade of the network throughout the neighbourhood.

After this update it seems my router won't co-operate with my modem. As when i connect to the modem via a LAN-cable i get internet right away, where as when i connect it to the router, it shows up as if it were to work, but always comes up with "cannot connect to the internet"

All the cables are in order, i've resat the modem twice, put the router to factory settings and configured it as normal again, and i can't seem to get it work for some reason. One thing i did notice though is that my routers system date is set to 1 January 2011 00:00. Maybe this is the issue? Can't seem to change the date either though. The router is the Asus RT-N66U

    Would apprecciate any help !

I assume you have ADSL. Have you checked the phone line?
You could also try connecting the modem directly to your PC and use a dialing software to see if that works.
