    Movie/Media Center Build

    Hey Guys

Building a Mini-ITX for my room to replace my desktop that I'm using as both gaming and media center. Really, all I'm looking to get out of this build is iTunes, definite movie streaming (HD isn't a huge deal to me, a movie is a movie). Id like to stay around the budget for $350 and I just wanted to see if you guys think what I have is good.

    CPU: AMD A4-5300 3.4GHz Dual-Core Processor ($45.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XN-WIFI Mini ITX FM2 Motherboard ($98.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($56.98 @ OutletPC)
Case: Cooler Master Elite 130 Mini ITX Tower Case ($34.99 @ Micro Center)
Power Supply: Cooler Master Elite Power 400W ATX Power Supply ($39.98 @ OutletPC)
    Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24F1ST DVD/CD Writer ($19.98 @ OutletPC)
    Total: $296.90

Already have windows, and all needed peripherals

Probably going to put a 2tb in instead for my library

The above has lower power consumption, higher performance in both cpu and igpu, included some ram since you forgot, and lastly went with a separate wifi card since I assume you need.

If I went with the A6-5400k, would the performance come closer to the G3220? My last build I used the H81 with an i3, and I wanted to switch it up (I have no complaints about the board) so I think I'm going to stick with the A88FN-Wifi, but assuming I don't put a GPU in, is 430W PSU the bare minimum I should go with? Also I had the same ram you selected just forgot to include on pcpartpicker. Planning to purchase all the parts friday, and I have Amazon Prime. Thanks for the reply also.

An intel celeron and pentium like lockblock suggested is alot faster than both A4-5300 and A6-5400k. Yes 430 is good or even 300w but depends on the psu quality more. The evga one is better than the CM while being cheaper. I would suggest if you are going wireless for it tho, that either you go onboard wifi or a pcie adapter, up to you really. Here's another suggestion slightly over with an ssd in it and 2x4Gb ram.

The G3220 is about 50% better than the A6-5400K. There's really no reason to choose it. If you're worried about graphics/HD playback, pick up an HD5450 for $15

Alright, I will go switch to Intel. I'll also go with a small GPU as well, and I'll kick the budget up too 375, give or take.

I wouldn't bother with the 5450 as the Intel hd graphics(GT1) is equal or better in most situations.
