Is this a good gaming build for my budget ?

I don't see many options for GPU, R9 290(X) is the best option currently for 1440p thanks to 4GB VRAM and Gigabyte's Windforce is the shortest and thus will fit the NZXT case best. R9 290 is easily the best bang for buck, X is maybe 10% faster and costs roughly $100 more.

Thanks for the follow up. I don't think 100$ is worth it for a 10% because the games I play aren't that graphically intense as games like Crysis, Instead for the extra budget i will purchase W8.1..
