It was said it was as high as 110 degree's on the court in the fourth quarter.

He played for the first 28 min of the game i believe all the way till the 3rd quarter with only the break at half time. His coach should have rested him multiple times that night.
Other players got more frequent breaks and if he looked ok or not he wasn't ok and that is on the coaching staff.

Being that physical in that type of heat and getting dehydrated is what caused the cramps in his legs. They locked up and the pain was to much for him. Ever have that muscle under the bottom of your foot cramp. Pain like that.

Its not like running and having that one cramp behind your leg that makes you walk for a bit. Those guys are jumping constantly on top of running and being aggressive breaking left and right to break free or to cover.

He is the Micheal Jordan of this day and age. Even Mike had some not so good nights. He may have looked like a wus or whatever but get over it.

    GO SPURS !!!

He's one of the best players in the NBA. He didn't get to where he is by wasting time being bothered by things like this. Even if he sat on the bench all year he'd still be making more money than people who bust their ass at their job and make fun of him.
You're right, he probably doesn't care.
Atleast we bust our asses off for a more normal work/money ratio instead of a leech like most athletes.

The bigger you are the bigger drawbacks you can have if you hurt yourself...bigger people have different bodies, hence really big people have increased risk on heart conditions.

Certainly but with all the physical activity this fella does I doubt he cries over every little thing.
I ain't no expert in the field of "hurts" but I doubt his hurt that much more that he looks like hes giving birth to a basketball.

A meme (/ˈmiːm/ meem) is "an idea, behavior, or style that spreads from person to person within a culture." A meme acts as a unit for carrying cultural ideas, symbols, or practices that can be transmitted from one mind to another through writing, speech, gestures, rituals, or other imitable phenomena with a mimicked theme.

Fit the definition nicely if you ask me.

    I've never heard of him.

Presumably you expect everyone to have heard of AB de Villiers then, as he is regarded as the current best to play in a sport followed by billions?

OT: I don't get it. Player goes down with cramp, and is helped off the pitch. What did they expect him to do, play on at a significantly reduced level just to prove how manly he is?

People like to complain about people way luckier/better in life just because they can. It's a way to channel the jealousy.

I can understand the pain for a cramp, but you can still try and not act like a pussy about it, he looked like he was crying ffs, even my worst cramps don't cause me that much.
That was Rivaldo. He got fined by FIFA. I get your point though.

I don't know about that, but he most likely doesn't care about the fact that it's likely a minority of people who watch Basketball that do that.

It's definitely stupid. Though, I don't think it's stupid enough for weapons... yet.

It worries me grown people are doing this for the sake of attention. This is the behavior I expect from stupid 15-16 yo. Though I doubt they want to do it now as grown ups are doing it. :P

Eh, it'll die down pretty quickly methinks. Then we simply must survive the next wave

However it's not like football players (or even the manager) to dive on the ground now is it ?

It's laughable when people compare their light jogging cramps with proffesional sports. You take the cake because you mentioned stomach cramps from eating quinoa. I'm sure that makes you qualified to really know how a pro athlete should feel when they cramp up.

Like Shane Battier said on regular human cramps vs. athlete cramps: "Zumba classes don't count".

Don't try to act all tough because we all know you bite the pillow hard and possibly scream into it just like the rest of us when a calf cramps up on you during the night.

Tim Duncan also confirmed their players had cramps setting in but Popovich was smart enough to rotate them faster and have some of them rest when needed. Timmy also confirmed that when you cramp up there is nothing you can do because your body shuts down.

Are these guys overreacting aswell? Just sitting and standing is hard enough when that happens in proffesional sports.

if someone doesn't watch the sport, ofc they will not know who they are. If you think otherwise, you're in for a rude awakening when you join the real world.
