I just graduated from high school...

I just received my high school diploma and will be going to Bryant & Stratton College in the fall to begin majoring in business.

However, i am just saddened that my mother didn't see me walk the stage because she is currently in heaven due to an illness.

    anyone else graduated this year?

Congratulations. Get out there and work your ass off, but try to enjoy life while/when you can.

You sure you want to major in business?

congrats. my advice would be to specialize into something more specific than business, as there are plenty of generalists and few specialists graduation from college! or just get drunk stoned and sleep with whoever you find.

    or both.

Graduated last year, don't think I'll see my dad tear up like he did there any time in the near future.

While I graduated, it was bittersweet partially because I cheated on my last few projects (paid a kid a lot of money but money I made off of work, not parents) so I'd pass the class, teacher was also nice enough to me to let me go up an entire letter grade to a B. Guess she really liked me, often I'd ask her about issues regarding the environment even though I never really studied for any tests (why my grade dropped in the first place) and I assumed that was the reason for her liking me... Or pity.

Enjoy college but don't party 24/7 if you're into that lifestyle, I'm going to UNCW and I can tell you from firsthand experience that there is a party every single day of the week here.

Congratulations and do not get lazy with your studies.
    Hey everyone

Graduated last year. Made a lot of money doing English projects for other people for 40$ a pop without getting caught so that was a sweet way to go out.

Just make sure you're going to college because you want to and no one else otherwise it'll be a bit miserable for you. Otherwise though there's a whole world out there! Congrats on surviving high school!

It truly is a breath of fresh air. A lot more things you do is a lot more relevant and you don't have dress codes placed upon you unless you willingly applied somewhere.

This is exactly what I thought.

Get into a trade school son, become a plumber or a heavy duty mechanic.

If you're not able to get into a decent university, you'll probably be better served learning a trade. You're likely to be disappointed with how much a degree from a for-profit counts for in the job market.

You can do both. People exaggerate the difficulty of college in my opinion. Unless you go to Harvard or some Ivy League school you will have more free time than you did in high school. If getting wasted and having sex with a bunch of girls isn't your thing then have fun doing what you want. There are a lot of rumors about college that you'll hear but most of them are the extremes.

Also if at all possible I'd really recommend living on campus for your first year. It's a good experience overall and will help you mature.

Well.... business is really broad in terms of an area of study. Is it really easy? If you are studying entrepreneurship then yes... it is... too easy in fact, however, if you are studying say... accounting or information systems it can be quite difficult but lead to a lot of money in the end.
