Damn. Well, I was kind of hoping someone had tried to check anyway, since it gathers charges even in non-flying areas.

Yeah, it's great.
Has some annoyances such as needing to pick-pocket humanoids to gain charges; which you lose on zoning.
Also it's kind of difficult to aim and go in the direction you want but you can use it to give yourself a LOT of airtime with Goblin Glider. ^^
