    Help needed

    Hey guys, im in the process of updating my mobo and cpu. Budget is around 300e for both and currently these are the ones im eyeing.

    Gigabyte GA-Z87-D3HP

    Intel Ivy Bridge i5-3550, LGA1155, 3.3GHz, 6MB

    My current memory is khx1600c9d3b1k2/8gx and its not on the qvl, but i assume its gonna work, right?

    Is the setup good or is there better ones at around 300e at the moment or coming soon.

    you can't mix a 1150 socket with 1155 chip.

    Right, i guess that shows how much i need help. Besides ive changed the components abit, how do you feel about these two

    AsRock Z97 Pro3, LGA1150, Intel Z97, DDR3, ATX

    Intel Haswell i5-4690K, LGA1150, 3.5GHz, 6MB

    Atleast theyre both 1150
