A movie called Lo. It was a slow Saturday and I had nothing to watch, after browsing Netflix for a while I came across the box arts picture and it looked interesting. Very interesting surreal movie that at first was recorded really terribly. Then it goes up, then there's an awkward 10 minute (felt like 10 minutes song.) But the story was really good and a lot of the "demon" designs were great. Didn't think it'd be as good as it was but glad I watched the whole thing. Definitely worth a watch if your curious.

Netflix doesn't have it anymore for streaming sadly.

This movie is basically like a movie where a private eye would bust down doors takin' names and lookin for clues, but in high school and there is no cops. Just a bad ass teen looking for his ex girlfriend. I discovered this movie just googling "movies released in 2009" and scrolled through all of them until I found one I liked.

    Black Death (2010)

Didn't know the movie existed until I happened to see it in a $5 DVD bin at Wal Mart. For a $5 impulse buy, it turned out to be really good.

This thread has added so many "movies to watch" to my list, thank you

Seems nobody mentioned The Sunset Limited (2011), it sort of had that "Man From Earth" feel to it, where it's pretty much just a discussion constrained more or less to a single room, except this one just between two men. I found it in another one of these sorts of threads on this very same forum....

Repo! The Genetic Opera. I had no idea what it was, just saw my sister bringing it over one day and she said "It's a rock musical made by the guy who did Saw." I watched it and instantly fell in love (with the movie).

I have much love for Repo! So much fun, and with Nivek Ogre and Bill Mosely as deranged brothers Pavi and Luigi Largo, and Anthony Head as the titular character, it's all mad brilliance.

Check out The Devil's Carnival, same director and writer, same sort of concept (musical horror). Ogre and Mosely also appear.
