    [Anime] Anime News

I've found plenty of sites with discussion and conjecture, but where do you go for anime news? Where do you find out about the latest series or plans to continue ones on hiatus?

Thanks everyone. With Amazon Japan, how do you know which is new?

if you are just interested in season release schedule. check out http://anichart.net, it will tell you what is new in each season. also if you click on "airing chart" on the top right it will tell you what day/time it is aired.

The problem is, I only find out about the most popular ones. I rarely discover hidden gems.

Brynhildr in the Darkness is pretty cool if you like anime like Elfen Lied. From the same creator. Even though the end is a bit rushed, it's still worth watching. Finished airing not too long ago.

As for news, a mix of ANN, MAL, CrunchyRoll and various sorts of blogs. No one place, really.
I usually click random titles under certain genres since I don't understand Japanese names.

I watched 6 episodes or so (used to watch it with others in stream, then missed a few weks and didn't bother to continue). Let's say, the anime was good until episode 3. Then the time stuff and the onsen seen happened and the anime became shit. Also, "a bit rushed", they've put 40 chapters into 3 episodes, according to manga reader.

As for the topic, MAL, ANN, but mostly word of mouth from other people.

Seems Gus Van Sant will take over directing the american adaption of Death Note

Still hope that movie never gets made. There's really only one or two people who could possibly do a faithful anime movie. And one of them is going to be busy with Pacific Rim 2 (btw Gus Van Saint is a fantastic director... just not for anime)

Hollywood still has a lot to learn before they should attempt anime. They just like to butcher stories. If you haven't you should read up about what the studio wanted to change in akira the giant fuck up that is the attempt to make a live action Akira. The damn fans made an amazing live action trailer for Akira.

On topic: I usually use ANN or anime tracking sites.

It took me several attempts to watch Akira and stay awake but I just don't understand its praise.
