Everyone has their problem I'm a severe alcoholic and i'm trying my hardest to beat it. I can't afford a $20000 er bill every week. I know you all sit on your high horse and act like you're perfect but you all have your defects And in regards to hooked the last month On average about 20-25 drinks per day for the last month due to my tolerance. That's how you get delirium tremens at age 21. It's nothing at all to be proud of but I'm aware of my situation.

I told you Tierbook I got out of the hospital tuesday, I didn't have a drop of alcohol until Saturday and that was 5 beers at a 4th of july party. Too much temptation everywhere, another life lesson. When your alcoholism is this severe avoid parties all together. Saturday I had 7 in total, yesterday I 20, Today"All of 3 hours" I had 2 1/2 drinks but that was purely to try and fix a medical problem not too drink again. The benzo has kicked in and I'm feeling 100x better.

Another thing.... isn't there some kinda law or whatever that came with obamacare, or maybe it was there beforehand, that allows college students to be on their parents insurance until 25?

Might I suggest you try some treatments of Ibogaine to cure this addiction?

You can google klonapin it's prescribed all the time for severe alcohol withdrawal and all you trolls telling me to stop cold turkey. Doesn't work like that at my stage your heart ends up going crazy until you have a seizure and die of cardiac arrest. But it's ok now haha you assholes you.
I wasn't trolling you, this is a quote you made just a few posts before mine "My dad has a prescription for benzo's which are all used in alcohol withdrawal ". I assumed that was why he had it was for alcohol withdrawal.

I made the mistake of assuming alcohol was some soft core drug because it was legal... never again. Starting drinking at 21 when I had my first job wasn't used to all the disposable income. Gradually over the past 11 months it just got worse and worse and I made the mistake alot of college students do. Underestimating just how severe and life threatening alcohol withdrawal can be. After Binging for a month I stopped completely cold turkey to allow my body some recovery time. That's why I was admitted to the hospital last week for DT. You can't do that, that's why I tried to have 2 1/2 drinks in the past 2 hours. Because I've never Od'd on alcohol, but the withdrawal... is a completely different beast.

Go to the strip club and ask the hookers what you should do. You would get better advice there.

$20,000 dollars for an ER visit....to what, the Betty Ford clinic?

Go to a GP and get a recovery plan sorted out for getting off the hooch. If any of this is actually true. And stop taking your dad's medication for fuck's sake.

  12. #32
Tapering off across three days is about the only thing you can do short of another ER visit.

Then join Alcoholics Anon and/or go to rehab. Rehab would be better than JUST AA. AA is more for long-term. (No Winehouse jokes, please.)

I am inclined to support him taking dangerous medication if he is stupid enough to start it.

Don't drink like that or you'll die on a pooper.
Saline drip helps in alcohol withdrawal, they are quite cheap. Don't take aspirin, paracetamol it will only make it worse (even more job for your poor liver). And never ever drink alcohol in hangover, it gives even more stuff to digest for your liver making your hangover even worse.
Drink a lot of water while drinking and after drinking. In case of hangover eat oatmeal (easiest food for your stomach), pickles, canned fish, citric acid will help too (add a pinch of it in tea). Kvass works really well, but don't buy it, instead, make your own, google about it.

But in your case, visiting emergency is required

Wow so much people here doesn't know what alcoholism is. You can't just "have willpower", it's freaking physical dependence, it's not your student-time-week-long-drink-parties, it's when someone feels physical pain without alcohol, delirium tremens, seizures, that's what alcoholism is, there is no way you can just "man up" against it, you need medical treatment.
Afterwards, everything is up to you, if doctors managed to turn your body back up, you can try to overcome this, but until that - hospital is the only place where you can get help

Moreover what gives you the right to judge? The man is an alcoholic, who cant even afford his alcohol detox medicine, and you want to get on him about sleeping with his mother. Be a little more sensitive here, mmo-c is better than that.

You're seeking "serious" alcohol withdrawal advice from a gaming website? Good lord...

    If you're trolling; 0/10.

If you're serious; Turn off your computer, put down the bottle/beers, go see your doctor and do what he suggests if you want to live and not die an alcoholic.

I used to work in the ER and trust me, alcoholics who don't even want to be there (in most cases) are the worst patients ...
Even if you go to the ER for help - what do you expect them to do? Help sober you up just so you can go home and get drunk again?!
Trust me the nurses / doctors there DON'T want to deal with your kind. The next time you're sober check yourself into a program, honestly that's the best thing you can do.

edit: btw I have no idea what your actual question is ... you post your vitals / labs and expect someone on here to diagnose you? even if we could, it'd be more than reckless to do so (and a serious ethics violation).
