Looking to buy a laptop in the UK. (Pay Monthly)

Hello folk of MMO-C. I'm looking to buy a laptop for my next year's course (programming) and I was looking at various websites to buy a laptop from but through a pay monthly option. I believe websites(stores) like PCSPECIALIST and ARGOS do pay monthly options; as I'm wanting to get a laptop that can handle moderate gaming and around the 600 pound range or so.

I don't require any OS, or any anti-virus as I'd like to keep any trials or bloatware to a minimum.
Default HDD is fine as well, as I can just get a 7200rpm HDD/SSD elsewhere cheaper most likely.
Resolution doesn't bother me too much, as long as it's at least 1336x768.
Ideally I'd shift all the power to the CPU/RAM/GPU budget wise.
    Weight isn't really an issue.

Programs it must be able to run:
    Photoshop CS5
All Blizzard games, League of Legends, some Steam games.

If there's anything I missed please feel free to add on to it!

    Help much appreciated,

    Zeph.

Argos do a monthly pay option their terms are Here and Here are all the laptops around the £600 mark, just remember buying from a store like this over £100 of the cost is simply markup. I personally wouldn't get a laptop for gaming, i'd get a cheap laptop for programming, and a desktop for gaming but that is just my opinion. any laptop you get for £600 should be able to run anything thats out atm.

don't know much about intel integrated gpus and my link at pcspecialist stopped working, if its mainly wow you want to play you should be able to get by on a intel dual core, 4 or 8gb of ram, and either a hybrid sshd or just a nice hdd.

Appreciate your concern regarding desktop versus laptop; I just want to be able to do it at college/friend's houses as I already have a desktop =)

HSBC currently are doing £7.5k personal loans @3.9% for 51% of accepted applicants.

Get one, buy your laptop and use the rest to throw at starving lapdancers.

As Rawhammer says, ask at your bank regarding a loan. It's likely they'll offer a better rate than most financing programs.

In practice, the financial requirements for personal lines of credit are much higher than high rate financing programs and credit cards. If he needs to borrow a figure as low as 600 pounds, he's isn't likely to get approved. They'll probably direct him to a student or secured credit card so he can establish his credit history.

If he can't get a low interest rate loan, then he probably shouldn't be getting credit at all.

I know a few people who have been struggling with credit ratings/gone bankrupt etc have used: http://www.kandco.com/ in the past.
It's not really a route I would suggest going down but if that's all you can manage.

In my opinion setting up a separate savings account, doing a weekly deposit of £30 - £50 or whatever on a standing order and you'll soon have enough to buy whatever you need without even really noticing the amount of money you don't have readily disposable.

Get a small loan instead... the interest on PC Specialist is very high. Don't get me wrong they have a good service there as I got a laptop from them myself.

You would be surprised at how many people don't save money because they've simply never been taught how. Often the parents don't know, so they can never teach their children.
Something which in my opinion should be taught at school.

Don't waste your money on owning a computer without an SSD. Just don't do it, please, it's not even an option. Either order it with SSD or purchase one with the computer and transfer the OS yourself (usually a cheaper option).

What? my GT70 dragon without the SSDs(just 5400rpm) performs great, it boots in like 10 seconds, why pay a hundred bucks to save 9 seconds every day.

You clearly have never experienced the difference in working with SSD every single day. It's not even comparable, and boot times are the least of it. It's one of the greatest leaps in computer usability history.
