Anub'rehkan is tearing me apart... ON NORMAL!!
I have bougtht ONE pack, back in beta to get Gold Gelbincard.. I attended (virtual) BlizzCon to get ETC..
All my gold from dailies will be used to buy access to wing 2-5 (still ~500g short)..
My best result, so far on Anub, was getting him down to 16hp.. Problem is, whenever I have 3+ minions down, he casts Locust Swarm (which he more or less cast at will, 4-5 times per fight)...
I've tried as Shaman and Lock, as those are the classes I normally have the best results with...
Is it even possible to get anywhere in Naxx with default cards? I have Priest at level 9 and all other at 10+

I have only earned packs from my arena winnings. I beat all of them. I think you might just want to rethink your decks or try other heroes.

Are you talking normal mode or heroic? I think it is perfectly possible to complete it, but it may of course take more tries with less cards available. I have a control paladin deck that has been one-shotting everything so far (Still need last 2 on heroic though, haven't tried them yet), but I also think that came down to luck. Anub didn't use Locust Swarm a single time the first time I fought him on normal, for example.
Edit: Just made a paladin deck using only cards that you have by completing the starter stuff, and beat him on first try. So yeah, definitely possible. Heroic might be harder, since the hero powers are stronger and they have 45 HP instead of 30. Still, definitely possible.Last edited by mmoc738030ea5a; 2014-07-23 at 12:00 PM.

IDK for Heroic but i've beaten all the bosses w/o losing once with the cards i get from lvling on Rogue..

On normal? Undoubtedly. Heroic? Doubtful, you need to tailor your decks around theirs.

On Heroic probably not. But Normal mode is easy as hell. You shouldn't have any problem with it, even if using a basic deck might make things a bit harder.

Yes, you can. Totalbiscuit cleared the normals with his all-legendary deck, on first try. It's a terrible deck.

I imagine it's possible to get to 2/3 hc with only basic cards - at least 1/3 hc. Faerlina dies outright to any spam the board deck which you can make from basics. All normals shouldn't be a problem although you may have to tailor a deck to each (sorta) to get past them with the lower quality cards you may have to use.

While EU was down yesterday, I started a new account on asia, unlocked all the classes playing rogue, and then did all the bosses as that rogue with just the basic cards unlocked and a couple of commons I was able to craft after disenchanting the cards I got from my 2 packs (1 for having Diablo: RoS and 1 for unlocking all classes).
Didn't attempt the heroic versions with that deck, though, but I wouldn't be surprised if you could do it."Quack, quack, Mr. Bond."

Normal was very easy IMO, heroic was quite the challenge though.
I don't have all the cards myself, barely got legendaries, and still missing plenty of other cards.
Cleared normal with priest without too much of a problem, changed it around for Faerlina because of card draw being really bad on her.
Changed tactics a lot of times, especially on heroic.
I love that it was hard, I honestly expected it to be easier.

Faerline and Maenaxx have both been beaten on heroic with basic decks already. I haven't seen anyone say anything about Anub'rekhan yet.

mexx would be the only tough heroic boss, but even then the basic strategy revolves around commons, sure alex helps but thats the "quick" way.

Nope, impossible. I think you can do it in a few weeks time when everyone will have copied the few decks that can beat them n heroic, but for the moment heroic is extreme for most non paid/constructed decks. Originally Posted by Simulacrum

I 1shot all of them on normal, and I've never bought a pack. I have been playing since beta though so I have a decent set of cards.

yes. Yesterday I was so tired in the early hours I thought I had them all, but it was only the first heroic boss I got down. Druid deck that also killed the normal wing rather easy. Originally Posted by Mormolyce
