It appears that the horde is getting new raptor models as their faction mount to go with Vol'jin. Do you think that the alliance will get an updated horse model to balance it out? I hope so, and a lot of people will be crying "omg favoritism lol" if they do

I don't think this model will be replacing the current raptor one. I think this mount is an independent one.

The raptor is a PVP mount, same as the Vicious Wolf & Undead Horse - it comes from winning 40 RBG's or 100 3v3 arenas.

They don't necessarily have to be mounts at all, at least not player mounts. Might be used as enemies, and the fancy one might as well be Von'jin's personal mount.
