    Next hot spot; Libya

"Rocket ignites blaze near Tripoli airport, Libya in chaos"

In addition to Ukraine, Syria, Gaza, Iraq, Central Africa....there is Libya.

The situation keeps intensifying every day there. I wonder how bad the situation is going to go soon....

Are we already in WW3 without really understanding it?

Pretty sure after what happened during WW2, not a single country want an all out war like that again.

No puupi. This is just a civil tribal war. It was obvious that the situation in Libya would have come down to this.

This is the problem with the whole "Arab Spring" and the wars to remove dictators.... The only thing keeping these countries together in the first place was a strong person with undisputed power who could keep all the various factions at bay. The result of removing these persons is what we're seeing now. Groups of people who want nothing more than to utterly destroy eachother.

As usual when foreign powers tamper with their internal "balance".

Was a new Mohammad video released? Obama and Hillary told me the violence in Libya was all because of a Mohammad video on youtube. At least the embassy staff are being taken out of Libya this time. Better than leaving them there to be massacred by people justifiably angry over an anti-Mohammad youtube video, right?

The modern one because back when we lost 4 guys at an embassy in that area of the world the administration's line was that it was spontaneous anger over a youtube video. Seriously. I try give the administration the benefit of the doubt but even I have a hard time buying that one. I can't say whether or not it was spontaneous but the video thing was just stupid to even say or bring up.

Really makes me wish we could just chopper out of these countries all the sane people that want to bring tolerance and only the best bits of their cultures with them, then just nuke the rest and build a giant wall around it.

    No.

What's going on is we have a number of unrelated wars going on at the same time . . . pretty much the same as any other point in history, only now we have the Internet and TV telling everyone about all of it.

World War 3, like WW2 and WW1, would be a massive war across the world involving only a few factions, all of which are involved directly in the same conflict.

i wonder how the US was supporting this uprising, when everyone knew exactly that they are going against the only man who could have kept that area in order.

sadly this is like the third time the US has done it, hopefully i am correct in my count.

It's like people have no memory of what actually happened to Libya and each nation's participation. I mean really if we are going to blame Libya on the US then it's only fair to blame Afghanistan and Iraq on every country that went in with us.

Europe gets away with a lot by staying silent and letting the U.S. catch all the shit for it.

The Libya "intervention" is a prime example. That was Britain and France who organized that.

The Euro nations that abstained on the U.N. vote for the investigation into the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, knowing full well the U.S. would just veto it, allowing them to not be pinned down by either camp, being another good example.

I highly doubt the possibility of another World War in the digital age. The entire planet is more connected than ever, and could you imagine a first world country trying to enforce a draft? It'd be absolute anarchy.

First world nations needing a draft? Oh ya most European countries lack a substantial army.....
